February 24th- 28th

GREEK FEST is this week!!  Please join the 8th grade in support of such a great event.  The 5th annual Greek Fest will be held this Wednesday, February 26th @ 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

  • TOGA:  All students should bring in their bed sheet they will use as a toga by TOMORROW (Tuesday, February 25th)

Students will continue their unit on Ancient Greece this week in class.
  • Reading Quiz Thursday:  There will be a reading quiz Thursday on Alexander the Great reading passage.  This reading passage has been posted to schoology.  It is a long passage, students need to prepare accordingly.

February 3rd- 7th

What a week we had last week.  Due to the winter storm our week in class will look very similar to what was planned for last week. This week students will begin a unit on Greek governments. Students will also study the 2 major Greek city-states: Athens and Sparta.

  • NO homework readings this week.
  • In-Class Reading (Close-Up Reading Strategy and Questions) on Athenian Democracy
  • DBQ: Sparta
* The first test on Ancient Greece will be Wednesday, February 12.  Students can start studying their notes and vocabulary now. A study guide will be given to students Monday, February 10th.
