November 18th- 22nd

There will be no reading passages this week for homework.  Monday and Tuesday students will work in class on Document Based Questions (DBQ) about the Silk Road.  Students will then prepare for their Ancient China Test. Students should start to prepare for their test now.  Students can review all notes, readings, and graphic organizers.

November 11th- 15th

This week we will continue our study of Ancient China.  Students will learn about the Han, Tang, and Song Dynasties as well as a focus on the Silk Road and its impact on China and the Western World.

• Thursday- Reading Quiz: The Civil Service Program (Reading has been posted to Schoology.  This is a lengthy passage, students should prepare ahead of time.)
• Friday- CNN Quiz, The Silk Road Reading Quiz (Reading has been posted to Schoology.)

November 4th-8th

This week we will be looking at the Great Wall of China in detail.  Students will identify the costs and benefits of the Great Wall of China.

• Monday- HW: DBQ Background essay and questions.
• Tuesday- HW: The Great Wall of China Reading (Reading is posted on Schoology.)
• Wednesday- HW: Prepare for In-Class Writing Assignment
• Thursday- In-Class Writing Assignment.  Please make every effort to be in class Thursday.
• Friday- Veterans Day Program
